a soundmobile in public space
The “tonhaube” is a mobile sound installation that presents electronic music by six Cologne composers at various locations in the greater Cologne area. Passersby can choose from six short pieces of music played through loudspeakers inside an acoustically shielded hood. This creates conversations between listeners and composers and can lead to sustainable networking – or at least that is the hope.
The aim of the installation is to increase the visibility of female electronic music and promote Cologne’s vibrant music scene. The small urban performances are intended to help inspire a wider audience for new music and experimental sounds.
