Parasitic Cablewaves transforms the newly opened Câble C1 in Paris into a floating listening space. Accessible via QR code during cable car journeys, the project presents a series of site-specific audio essays that blend field recordings, voices, signal interference, sonification and live electronic composition. Drawing on Michel Serres’ concept of the parasite and theories of network culture, the work explores how noise, attention and digital infrastructures shape contemporary urban life. Suspended above the city, passengers encounter Paris through a layered sonic narrative where public transportation becomes an interface for collective listening and critical reflection.

Parasitic Cablewaves will be realized from October 2026 to March 2027 as part of my residency fellowship from the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
